COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA (NBC12) - Federal investigators are trying to figure out what caused a Learjet to crash Saturday, killing four people and leaving two famous musicians critically injured.

Travis Barker, a former drummer for the band Blink-182 and DJ AM were on their way to California, after performing in concert late last night, when the crash happened.

A witness says he saw a fireball as it crashed on a nearby road.

Barker and AM suffered severe burns.
