Clown mask-wearing teenagers arrested in Henrico
HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police have arrested a pair of teenagers after authorities said they donned clown masks and chased children in a neighborhood.
According to the department, 18-year-old Kevin Marquis Craddock II and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested after police responded to the 1600 block of New Market Road near Varina High School Wednesday for a report of two people with clown masks chasing kids in the area.
A witness was able to provide a description of the vehicle associated with the suspects and officers were able to find the vehicle and identify the occupants.
Both Craddock and the 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with one count each of wearing a mask in public and assault.
"Henrico Police remind those who might consider similar actions that engaging in this type behavior could subject them to arrest," authorities said in a statement. "More importantly, concealing one's identity and inducing fear in another could result in someone getting hurt."
