Devin Cruice

Devin Cruice is a multimedia journalist and weekend anchor at KPLC 7 News in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Devin has a deep appreciation for the people, places, and traditions that make Louisiana unique. Before pursuing a career in journalism, he worked as a mechanic, an experience that gave him a firsthand understanding of the hardworking communities he now covers.

Since joining KPLC, Devin has covered major breaking news, high-profile criminal proceedings, including the Misty Roberts trial, and stories examining government spending and accountability. Whether reporting from the scene of a developing story or asking tough questions of public officials, Devin believes journalism is about giving people the information they need and a voice in the issues that affect their lives.

But not every meaningful story makes the headlines. One of Devin's favorite pieces, The Blues Man, profiles a man who finds joy in life's simplest pleasures. It's a story that reflects Devin's belief that everyone has something worth sharing, and that some of the most compelling stories come from the people we encounter every day.

Devin graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, concentrating in journalism.

When he's not in the newsroom, Devin enjoys playing pickleball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
