Three hurt after car crashes into VDOT truck on I-95

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Virginia State Police is investigating an early morning crash on I-95 that left three people hurt.
According to police, troopers were called to a crash on I-95 northbound near the Lombardy Street overpass at mile-marker 77 just after 5 a.m.
As troopers and emergency personnel were trying to close the left lane, a vehicle traveling north hit a VDOT safety service patrol vehicle.
The man driving the safety service patrol vehicle and the two people that were in the vehicle that struck him were taken to the hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
