Man injured, suspect identified after Chesterfield shooting

A man is in the hospital, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in Chesterfield Friday night.

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A man is in the hospital, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in Chesterfield Friday night.

On Sept. 5, just after 6 p.m., Chesterfield County Police responded to a reported shooting in the 12600/12700 block of Route 1 outside of the Hobby Lobby and ABC store.

Upon arrival, officers found a man shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested Jerry B. Robinson Jr. shortly after the incident. He has been charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in a Felony, Robbery, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

Chesterfield Police continue their investigation into this incident.
