Virginia lottery approves Petersburg casino project

PETERSBURG, Va. (WWBT) -Petersburg is another step closer to having a casino referendum on the November ballot.
The Progress-Index reporting the Virginia Lottery Board approved the city’s deal with Cordish Companies.
The next stop is Petersburg Circuit Court, where a judge will have to approve holding the referendum.
