RGIII, wife divorcing after 3 years of marriage
CLEVELAND, OH (WWBT) - Former Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and his wife of three years Rebecca Liddicoat are getting a divorce.
Cleveland.com reports the quarterback told his new Cleveland Browns coaches and teammates of the news this week.
The couple got married on July 6, 2013, and have one daughter -- Reese Ann Griffin -- who was born in May 2015.
Griffin was recently named the starting quarterback for the Browns, who kick off the regular season on Sept. 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Griffin, who was drafted by the Redskins as the No. 2 overall pick in the draft in 2012, was released by Washington in the off-season. Griffin will return to Washington when the Redskins and Browns face off on Oct. 2.
