L.L. Bean to open store at Short Pump Town Center
HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - A new L.L. Bean store is scheduled to open in the Richmond area in November.
The Short Pump Town Center location will just be just the second store located in Virginia. The first store is located in Tyson's Corner.
L.L. Bean is well known for its 'Bean Boot' and outdoor gear and apparel.
"Our stores are where the L.L.Bean catalogs come to life for our customers," said Ken Kacere, senior vice-president and general manager of retail at L.L.Bean. "It's very exciting to open a store in Richmond, just a stone's throw away from the James River and all of the other countless opportunities for outdoor recreation."
The new store will employ approximately 100 people in the new 15,500 square-foot store.
The new L.L. Bean will open in the space currently occupied by the food court, forcing the children's play village, Chick-fil-A, and Auntie Anne's to relocate. The Chick-fil-A will be located on the lower level in an express location until they reopen. Auntie Anne's will relocate to a cart on the upper level.
