Police: Woman shoots, kills man threatening her during domestic dispute
Police rule the death a “justifiable homicide.”
CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Chesterfield Police say a woman shot and killed a man who threatened her during a domestic dispute.
On Thursday, officers responded to the 12300 block of Moores Lake Road just after 4 a.m. for reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say they found Eddie Hairston III, 38, shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“At this point, the investigation indicates an adult female in the residence shot Hairston during a domestic dispute after Hairston had assaulted her and threatened her life while brandishing a firearm,” Chesterfield Police said.
Police say they are still investigating, but are ruling this as a “justifiable homicide.”
