Man suspected of shooting 5 people at Chesterfield pub arrested

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A 35-year-old man faces multiple charges after police say he shot five people last month at Shamrock Pub in Chesterfield.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. Chesterfield Police responded to the shooting at the pub, which is at the corner of Midlothian Turnpike and Robious Road.

Five people were shot, including one person who had life-threatening injuries.

The suspect - Kalvon H. Turner - was arrested Thursday and charged with five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, using a firearm to commit a felony, wearing a mask in public, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

“At this point, the investigation indicates Turner and the victim with life-threatening injuries were involved in a disturbance when Turner produced a handgun and began firing. The other four shooting victims were not known to Turner or the fifth victim,” police said.

Police said Friday all the victims have been released from the hospital.
