RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Summer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you can’t end it in style.

Labor Day is right around the corner, and there will be tons of events all around Central Virginia.

Louisa will have its Labor Fest beginning this Friday and running all weekend long.

“So this is our inaugural event. This is something that we want to do - bring (people) back to Mineral. Mineral used to be a mining town, and it always hosted a Labor Day event. So we are trying to bring that history back to this town,” said Christina Miller, community recreation supervisor.

It’s all happening at Walton Park in Mineral, where you can enjoy days filled with fun, food, and music. Of course, they’ll have stuff for the kids, craft vendors, and more. Admission is free for this event. There’ll also be a craft fair during the event.

“Get ready for a good time and pack your bags, pack a lawn chair. We will be having a concert going on,” said Miller.

In Richmond, there are events happening every day of the weekend.

The Kabana Rooftop is hosting its sunset Sundays, but it’s all-white in honor of the holiday. So wear your best all-white outfit and get ready to vibe and dance the night away. Upscale attire and tickets are required for this event.

Later that night, there will be a silent party at Stadium Richmond, where DJs will compete for your attention. Each DJ will bring a different sound and energy.

This event allows you to control the volume of your headphones, so you do not have to worry about ringing in your ears when you leave.

You also need tickets for that event. To get them and to get more information about these events and a list of others happening in the area, head over to their website.
