Homicide investigation underway in Henrico after body found

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police confirm they are in the early stages of a homicide investigation in the county's eastern side Friday evening.
According to police, they received a call for shots fired in the 1100 block of Old Williamsburg Road around 8:42 p.m.
Once on scene, they found a male victim who had been shot and killed. Residents are being asked to stay inside as police conduct sweeps of the area with K-9 units.
Some residents say they stood in a long line for about an hour as police did their initial investigation.
Little is known about the victim or the identity of a suspect but investigators are actively searching for leads.
