RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond Police have arrested two people in connection to a shooting along Midlothian Turnpike that killed a 16-year-old.

Just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, officers responded to the Belt Atlantic Apartments off Midlothian Turnpike after hearing gunfire. There, they found three people shot. Two women were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third victim, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives arrested two people on Thursday in connection with this incident.

A Richmond 17-year-old has been charged with murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit murder.

Kareem Clyburn, 32, of Henrico, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
